Eric Michael Kochmer

EMK's directorial feature film debut WAY DOWN IN CHINATOWN (WMMFest) found distribution through 366WeirdMovies and Amazon. 2018 saw the release of his second feature film ABOUT STRANGERS: Road Series Volume I (Best Picture Award, Innuendo International Film Festival), as well as the first phase of the project I'VE SAID AND DONE THINGS THAT NO-ONE WILL EVER REMEMBER (over 100 episodes). He is currently in development on a live, multimedia version of the series, adapted for galleries and other art spaces. His third feature film, HER AND HIM, as well as his fourth feature, the  documentary JACK MADE A PLAY ABOUT JOHN, are both slated to premiere in 2021. As a producer, Eric has headed over 30 productions and as a Chief of Production of We Make Movies, Inc. he has overseen over 300 productions in the past 5 years.

Steven LaMorte

Steven LaMorte was born in New York City. During his studies at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Steven majored in Film and Television Production. Steven moved to Los Angeles to make his feature film directing debut “Never Leave Alive” starring WWE Superstar John Morrison and Joseph Gatt (Dumbo, Thor). His other features include Christmas movie, “One Stop Away” starring James Boland (HBO’s Vinyl) and WWF legend Rowdy Roddy Piper’s final film in 3D, “Fighting with Fire”. In 2019, Steven directed Miss World America in Las Vegas, Nevada, which aired for a global audience of over 100 million people in over 30 countries. 

Working with some of the world's biggest brands to develop innovative content, Steven specializes in taking productions from the smallest idea through to their final delivery, supervising every facet of production from preparation all the way through post production and sale. Steven's work puts the story first, with emphasis on content filled with heart, humor, and spectacle.

Sapna Gandhi

As a member of San Francisco's Jump! Theatre, Sapna Gandhi wrote, produced, and starred in the moody, mixed-media production of Terminally Female: A Cabaret, before migrating to Los Angeles. Shortly after joining We Make Movies, she redefined the term "short" and negated all notions of typecasting with her comedic series, BROAD STROKES (WMMOriginals, Funny or Die). She's produced numerous series, shorts, and features, including the feature ABOUT STRANGERS (Best Picture, Innuendo IFF), associate-producing STRANDED ON EARTH (directed by Mike Bruce and featuring Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds), and producing indie darling SCRAP (directed by Leena Pendharkar and starring Vivian Kerr and Anthony Rapp) - under the umbrella of her production company Elegant Grotesque

Aubrey Mozino

After graduating from NYU with a degree in Acting and Producing and studying with Bill Esper at the William Esper Studio, Aubrey spent several years developing and producing theatrical work in NYC. Soon after she started her first production company, Mistaken For Strangers and produced one of the first web series called LIVE IN 5 that ended up getting distribution on KoldCast.TV. Since moving to LA, she's produced a weekly sketch show shot at YouTubeSpaceLA, a half hour comedy pilot, OFF THE GRID, the Apple short film challenge winner, THE DANCER, and is now producing a documentary series, THE eARTh PROJECT in conjunction with Apple. She's also served on the SAG-AFTRA board, the Low Budget Committee, and as the Vice Chair of the LA Next Gen Performers Committee among others and is our go to for your SAG-AFTRA questions. 

Sam Mestman

Sam Mestman is the CEO of We Make Movies and has been producing, directing, editing, and finishing independent movies for over 20 years.  His specialties lie in post production workflow and he is one of the world’s leading experts in this field designing workflows for video teams and productions all over the world.  As a professional editor and colorist, he has worked for Apple, ESPN, Glee, and Break Media (to name a few), and has edited or colored hundreds of shorts, features, web series, and probably every other type of content you can think of.  He is one of the world’s leading experts on FCPX workflow and is the architect behind some of the largest FCPX integrations in the world, including Focus, the first studio feature to be edited with Final Cut Pro X.
