“Something To Do on A WEDNESDAY” has a new bi-weekly home starting Feb 8th at the Theater of The Arts in Hollywood!
“Something To Do On A WEDNESDAY Til You Get Really Famous Night”writers workshop returns Feb 8th at The Theater of the Arts.
Where: Theater of The Arts (1625 N Las Palmas 90028).
When: Wednesday, Feb 8th at 7:30pm
Why: Free wine and snacks, and to make your work better.
Cost: Free!
To be a Reader: Send an email over to info@wemakemovies.org with “Reader (insert date of workshop)”. If you don’t put the date of the workshop you’d like to read in the subject, we may not be able to find your email when we do casting. (you can RSVP for both if you want, but please send separate emails with the dates you’re available to read in the subject of each). We will do our best to get you a part, and if we don’t have one available, you’ll be first on the list for the next workshop. We’ll send you an email a couple days before the workshop letting you know either way.
To submit your work: Send an email with “WMM Submission” in the header to info@wemakemovies.org. Attach the excerpt (we only accept .pdf), or full piece if it’s a short/webisode (15 pages max) as well as a full casting breakdown of the roles you’d like to have cast for it, and we’ll get you up there as soon as it’s your turn in line.
Parking: Despite what many consider notoriously bad parking in this area, it’s not as bad as you think. In addition to being 2 blocks from the metro, because we scheduled wednesdays, metered parking ends at 8pm, and there are plenty of free spots all along Selma. There’s also a $5 lot one block east of the theater and free parking for 2 hours (with validation) at Hollywood and Highland if you cant find anything on the street. This is doable.
