Brendan Cadigan Weinhold

Brendan Cadigan WeinholdBrendan’s acting career spans roles from God in The General of Hot Desire to Tesman, the beleaguered husband of Hedda Gabler, to D, the Dionysus of the street rats in Polaroid Stories. He has been a part of numerous collaborative theater companies, including Klichet Dramatic Dance Troupe, Random Acts of Theatre, Ray Burley Productions, and Why?: Artists Against the War. He also served as the Production Manager for Youth Theatre Northwest, and as a teacher for such prestigious children’s theatres as First Stage Milwaukee, Youth Theatre Northwest, and Seattle Children’s Theatre.

Brendan has made Los Angeles his home since 2010, but he spent his youth in rural Wisconsin. As a teen, Brendan got his first taste of professional theatre at First Stage Milwaukee, playing Jim Hawkins in the world premiere of James Devita’s Treasure Island. He continued to appear in productions at FSM through his teens. He founded his first theatre company with his father around this time, the Washington County 4-H Drama Company, and was a member of the Wisconsin State 4-H Drama Company.

Brendan moved to Seattle after high school, where he studied drama, dance, and German language and literature at the University of Washington. While there, he won the Robert Loper scholarship for community building, in part for his work as the director of the Undergraduate Theatre Society.

Before coming to Los Angeles, Brendan and his wife, Stina, spent one year busking around the world with their stilts, stories, and juggling balls, and they spent one year teaching English in Magdeburg, Germany. In Los Angeles, Brendan can be seen performing with Opera del Espacio, a viewpoints-based pedestrian dance theatre troupe focused on exploring the architecture of spaces. More info about them can be found at www.operadelespacio.org
